Meet Fredrich Cruse and Julia Chaney-Faughn

Fredrich J. Cruse, a lifetime of service

Fredrich was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1974, the Illinois Bar in 1982, and the Utah Bar in 1987. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts in Missouri, Illinois, and Utah, as well as the U.S. Court of Military Appeals. Fredrich Cruse served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps and is proud to be a recipient of the Missouri Bar Solo and Small Firm Committee Distinguished Service award. In over 40 years of practice, Fredrich has been involved in thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Julia A. Chaney-Faughn, committed to your rights

Julia was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2008 and the Illinois Bar in 2010. She has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of Missouri and was the Tenth Circuit Judicial Bar Association Secretary in 2008-09 as well as a Board Member of AVENUES. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Counsel, and the Regional Interagency Coordinating Councils (RICCs) Member with Missouri First Steps. She is also a member of The Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates is an independent national American association of parents of children with disabilities, attorneys, advocates, and related professionals who protect the legal and civil rights of students with disabilities and their families. She was also recognized as the 2023 F. Wm. McCalpin Pro Bono Award Winner for the Common Good through Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.

Julia is in the 2022 Partners in Policymaking Training Class. Partners is a leadership training program designed for advocates and parents of young children with developmental disabilities. This will allow her to better serve the community. The goal of Partners is to develop productive partnerships between people who need and use services and those who are able to help and advocate for the community and those in need. She has completed Special Education Law Training.
