Social Secuirty Benefits and Special Needs Care Planning

Our office will assist with the application, obtaining evidence and presenting the case at a hearing. A person is disabled under the Act if they can't work due to a severe medical condition that has lasted, or is expected to last, at least one year or result in death. Disability advocates are calling on the Social Security Administration to offer guidance on who qualifies for benefits for those who suffer long term health problems. 

Plan for the care for those who qualify for social security benefits by using ABLE accounts and Special Needs Trusts. ABLE accounts allow funds to be saved and not interfere with the individual’s eligibility for means-tested government benefits, such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid. Special needs trusts (SNTs) are well-established savings tools that also protect eligibility for Medicaid and other public programs.
